Netflix has premiered the trailer for “The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf,” the animated prequel spin-off film to their popular live-action series adaptation of “The Witcher” fantasy novels and video games.
Before Geralt, there was his mentor Vesemir – a swashbuckling young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coin. But when a strange new monster begins terrorizing a politically fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a frightening adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.
The film’s voice cast includes Theo James, Lara Pulver, Graham McTavish, and Mary McDonnell. It joins the ongoing main series which premieres its second season in December, and a new live-action prequel mini-series titled “Blood Origin”.
“The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf” debuts on Netflix 0n August 23rd.
