Netflix has premiered the teaser trailer for its upcoming four-part prequel mini-series “The Witcher: Blood Origin”.
Set in an elven world 1200 years before the world of The Witcher, Blood Origin tells a story lost to time – one of seven outcasts who unite against an unstoppable power that took everything from them.
Their blood quest giving rise to a prototype Witcher in a conflict that brings about the ‘conjunction of the spheres,’ when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves merged to become one.
The new teaser looks at the origins of its central trio – fierce Elven warrior Scian (Michelle Yeoh), traveling musician Eile (Sophia Brown), and vengeful Fjall (Laurence O’Fuarain).
Declan De Barra serves as showrunner on the series which also features Minnie Driver, Mirren Mack, Lenny Henry, Jacob Collins Levy, Lizzie Annis, Huw Novelli, Francesca Mills and Joey Batey as Jaskier.
Sarah O’Gorman and Vicky Jewson direct the series which debuts on Netflix this Christmas.
