Netflix has released the trailer for “The Last Days of American Crime,” the upcoming high-concept heist thriller based on the Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini graphic novel.
The story is set in the United States on the eve of the government – fed up with rampant terrorism and crime – switching on a new broadcast signal that makes it impossible for anyone to knowingly commit unlawful acts.
Edgar Ramirez stars as a career criminal who was never able to hit the big score. He teams up with famous gangster progeny Kevin Cash (Michael Pitt), and black market hacker Shelby Dupree (Anna Brewster), to commit the heist of the century – the last crime in American history before the signal is turned on.
Olivier Megaton helms the film which was penned by Karl Gajdusek. The film hits the service on June 5th.
