The trailer has been released for award-winning Thai filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s “Memoria” starring Tilda Swinton. The trailer promises a mysterious, dark and trippy ride.
She plays a Scottish woman, who, after hearing a loud ‘bang’ at daybreak, begins experiencing a mysterious sensory syndrome while traversing the jungles of Colombia.
Weerasethakul previously directed the Palme d’Or-winning “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives,” along with “Syndromes and a Century” and “Tropical Malady”.
The film will hold its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival this week.
