Netflix has premiered the trailer for Richard Linklater’s newest animated feature “Apollo 10 1/2: A Space Age Childhood” which follows the same style as his “A Scanner Darkly” feature.
Inspired by Linklater’s own life, the story deals with the first moon landing in the summer of 1969 from two interwoven perspectives – the astronaut and mission control view of the moment, and through the eyes of a kid growing up in Houston with intergalactic dreams of his own.
Glen Powell, Zachary Levi, Jack Black, Milo Coy, Lee Eddy, Bill Wise, Natalie L’Amoureaux, Josh Wiggins, Sam Chipman, Jessica Brynne Cohen, and Danielle Guilbot star in the film which has its world premiere at SXSW next week and then kicks off on the streamer on April 1st.
