Apple TV+ has premiered the trailer for their new sports comedy series “Stick” starring Owen Wilson, Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Timothy Olyphant, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay and Judy Greer.
Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago.
After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at a sporting goods store, he bets his future entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi (Dager).
The project is dubbed a “heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.”
Golf superstars such as Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa and Wyndham Clark appear and more, as do broadcasters and enthusiasts like Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman, Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke, Garrett Clark and Dan Rapaport.
“Machine Gun Preacher” and “Ford v Ferrari” scribe Jason Keller crested the series and serves as showrunner. The series premieres on June 4th.
