Scoring rave reviews for footage teased at last year’s Berlin Film Festival, the Nicolas Cage-led drama/revenge thriller “Pig” has released its first trailer ahead of its theatrical release through NEON on July 16th.
The story follows a truffle hunter who lives alone in the Oregonian wilderness must return to his past in Portland in search of his beloved foraging pig after she is kidnapped. Early reaction suggests this is a less violent, more dramatic “John Wick” style story.
Michael Sarnoski directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Vanessa Block. The R-rated feature also stars Alex Wolff, Adam Arkin and Gretchen Corbett.
