Bron Animation’s “The Willoughbys,” based on Lois Lowry darkly comedic children’s book, has released its first trailer and set an April 22nd premiere date for its release on Netflix.
The story follows the four Willoughby children who setup their oblivious parents to abandon them and go on a trip that could well kill them. Left to their own devices, they must learn how to adapt their old-fashioned values to the contemporary world and discover the true meaning of family.
Written and directed by Kris Pearn (“Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2”) and co-directed by Cory Evans, the film’s voice cast includes Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Alessia Cara, Terry Crews, Martin Short, Jane Krakowski, Sean Cullen, and Ricky Gervais.
