Netflix has premiered the official trailer for “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch,” a new adult animated spy thriller series which hails from “John Wick” franchise creator Derek Kolstad.
Liev Schreiber leads the cast as Sam Fisher, a field commander of Fourth Echelon – a high stakes covert unit of the U.S. government that specializes in counter-terrorism stealth operations.
Fisher is drawn out of retirement when a young operative seeks his guidance, pulling him into a complicated world of espionage, betrayal and dangerous missions in a series exploring the personal costs of living and working in a world of thorny moral ambiguity.
Also starring are Janet Varney as Fourth Echelon’s tech ops officer Anna ‘Grim’ Grímsdóttir, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as new agent Zinnia McKenna, and Joel Oulette as Thunder.
Animation is being provided by the Danish/French Sun Creature Studio and French studio Fost. “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch” premieres only on Netflix on October 14th.
