The documentary feature “Becoming,” about former first lady Michelle Obama, will be made available worldwide on Netflix on May 6th and the streamer has released a trailer today.
Produced by the Obamas’ Higher Ground production company (“American Factory”) and kept top-secret for months, the project marks the directorial debut of cinematographer Nadia Hallgren (“Trouble the Water”).
The doco recounts some of the same history of her life as in the 2018 memoir of the same name, but also follows her on the 34-city tour that she undertook while promoting it.
