Paramount Pictures has finally unleashed the full-length trailer and official poster for Christopher McQuarrie’s highly anticipated “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” a full year after the teaser trailer debuted online to a rapturous response.
The seventh overall film in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise, regulars Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames return in the new adventure which saw the production filming in Rome, Venice, Norway and the United Kingdom.
Joining them are first ‘Mission’ returnee Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, Vanessa Kirby back as the White Widow from the sixth film. Even with what we’ve seen in the two trailers, plot specifics remain decidedly vague along with the nature of the threat. That seems to be a deliberate choice as there’s no official synopsis offering details at this time.
“Agent Carter” star Hayley Atwell leads the new faces which also includes Esai Morales as the villain, Pom Klementieff as his aide, and the likes of Cary Elwes, Shea Whigham, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Rob Delaney, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Indira Varma and Mark Gatiss in supporting roles.
Budgeted at an eye-watering $290 million, this marks the first of a two-film story that is expected to mark the final screen outings of Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character.
“Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” opens in cinemas on July 12th and will be followed by “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two” opening in June 2024.
