Netflix has released a trailer for its documentary feature “Running with the Devil” which deals with late software security pioneer John McAfee.
Curious Films is behind the project about the infamous anti-virus software pioneer, entrepreneur and two-time presidential candidate who went on the run when his neighbor was murdered and he was being investigated in connection to the homicide.
Inviting a film crew with him, McAfee travelled deep into the Belizean rainforest trying to stay one step ahead of the alleged pursuers. McAfee ultimately died in a Spanish prison last year.
Through raw footage and interviews with McAfee, the doco uncovers new layers of his wild years on the run. The film launches on Netflix on August 24th.
