Though holding the same title as the well-received Udo Kier indie film earlier this year, the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama “Swan Song” is quite different in tone and style.
Set in the near future, the story follows Cameron (Mahershala Ali), a loving husband and father diagnosed with a terminal illness who is presented with an alternative solution by his doctor (Glenn Close) to shield his family from grief – replacing himself with a clone.
As Cam grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined. Naomie Harris, Awkwafina and Adam Beach star. Benjamin Cleary (“Stutterer”) directs the project which will be released on Apple TV+ on December 17th.
