Trailer: KJ Apa In Pandemic Thriller “Songbird”

The first trailer has arrived for the Michael Bay-produced “Songbird,” a thriller set in 2024 which posits a world still trapped in lockdown for four years following a mutated strand of coronavirus called COVID-23 wreaking havoc on the world and reaching 8.4 million deaths in a single year.

K.J. Apa and Sofia Carson play a couple separated by the pandemic and living under martial law. He claims to be immune from the virus as he searches for his girlfriend who is forced to evacuate her apartment after her neighbor contracts the virus.

Craig Robinson, Bradley Whitford, Alexandra Daddario, Demi Moore, Peter Stormare and Paul Walter Hauser co-star. The project was shot during the pandemic with incredibly limited crew and social distancing. Mason wrote the script alongside Simon Boyes and no release date has yet been set.
