Trailer: Jack Quaid In “Novocaine”

Paramount Pictures

Paramount Pictures has premiered the trailer for the action comedy “Novocaine” starring “The Boys” and “Star Trek: Lower Decks” alum Jack Quaid. The film is set to open March 14th in cinemas.

Quaid plays Nathan Caine, a man born with the rare disorder CIPA (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain) which means he can’t feel physical pain.

Caine grew up a sheltered child, learning to blend food so he would not unwittingly chew off his own tongue and to wear a timer to remind himself when to go to the bathroom.

When the bank he works at is robbed and his new love taken hostage, his affliction becomes his greatest strength as he sets out to rescue her.

The film’s cast also includes Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Lou Beatty Jr., Van Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon.

The project was penned by Lars Jacobson and directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen (“Villains”). Drew Simon, Joby Harold, Tory Tunnell, Matt Schwartz, Josh Adler and Julian Rosenberg produce.

Quaid has multiple films on the way including “Nowhere Men” with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, “Head of State” with Idris Elba and “Companion” with Sophie Thatcher.
