After decades of behind-the-scenes issues and numerous false starts, Terry Gilliam finally shot and released his film “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote” back in 2018. While reviews were kind albeit soft, it was lauded for finally being completed.
In 2002, the celebrated documentary “Lost in La Mancha” was released and chronicled the demise and heartbreak of Gilliam’s first attempt with the project shortly after filming began.
Today comes the trailer for “He Dreams of Giants,” a follow-up to that doco showing Gilliam finally shooting his dream project after all these years, his health battles and other barriers they encountered, and the bittersweet triumph of finally fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Keith Fulton and Louis Pepe helm the film which will be released in some European territories at the end of the month. No word as to other territories as yet.
