Apple TV+ has released the trailer for its five-part docuseries “Mr. Scorsese” about visionary director Martin Scorsese.
The series is aiming for “an intimate and richly layered examination of one of cinema’s most influential and enigmatic figures, featuring never-before-seen footage and in-depth interviews with those closest to him.”
The series examines how Scorsese’s colorful life experiences informed his artistic vision, starting with his New York University student films and continuing to the present day – exploring the themes that have fascinated Scorsese and informed his work.
Robert De Niro, Daniel Day-Lewis, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, Thelma Schoonmaker, Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, Cate Blanchett, Jay Cocks and Rodrigo Prieto all participate in the series.
Also involved are his family including his children, wife Helen Morris and close childhood friends.
Directed by Rebecca Miller (“She Came to Me”), the series is executive produced by Miller, Damon Cardasis, Cindy Tolan, Rick Yorn, Christopher Donnelly and Julie Yorn.
