Netflix has premiered the trailer for the six-episode limited series “Untamed” starring Eric Bana and hailing from writer Mark L. Smith (“The Revenant”) and his daughter Elle Smith (“The Marsh King’s Daughter”).
The character driven mystery thriller sees Bana playing Eric Inman, a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature’s vast wilderness.
The investigation of a brutal death in Yosemite National Park sends Inman on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park, and in his own past.
The older Smith is coming off another Netflix series, the Taylor Kitsch-led “American Primeval” back in January.
It marks a return to TV for Bana who appeared in Bravo’s 2018 series “Dirty John”. Since then he’s mostly stuck to homegrown Australian works, including the not dissimilar “Force of Nature: The Dry 2”.
