Disney+ has released a new trailer for its fantasy series “The Mysterious Benedict Society” which is getting a June 25th premiere.
The story follows four adventurers who each possess a unique skill, and are therefore summoned to a boarding school known as the Institute after winning a scholarship.
They are recruited by the eccentric Mr. Benedict for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency. They soon learn the headmaster of the Institute, Mr. Benedict’s identical twin brother Dr. Curtain, is behind the crisis which involves mind control.
The series is developed “The Invitation” and “Destroyer” writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, showrun by “Smallville” alum Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin, and adapted from the young adult books by Trenton Lee Stewart.
