Disney isn’t done with its “Big Hero 6” franchise with the first trailer today for “Baymax!,” a TV series based on the lovably squishy character from the Marvel and Walt Disney Animated feature.
Don Hall, who directed the film, created this series which will serve as a continuation of the movie and allows his team to explore more of the futuristic megalopolis city of San Fransokyo.
First announced at the Disney investor day presentation last year, the series focuses on Baymax’s original protocol as a nurse robot and seems him going around helping patients.
The project is separate from the sequel TV series Big Hero 6: The Series” which aired on Disney Channel and Disney XD for multiple seasons and wrapped earlier this year.
“Baymax!” will arrive on Disney+ in early 2022.
