The first trailer has arrived for the highly anticipated sequel to “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” the successful reboot of the ‘Apes’ franchise. Matt Reeves directs this $120 million-budget outing which is targeting a July 11th 2014 release.
The film is set a decade after Rise’s post-credits sequence where a devastating virus has wiped out much of humanity. Caesar now leads a growing nation of genetically evolved apes which is threatened by a band of human survivors. A fragile peace proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war.
