Quiver Distribution has released the red-band first official trailer for the action thriller “The Cleaner,” a film which hails from “Casino Royale” and “The Mask of Zorro” director Martin Campbell.
“Star Wars” alum Daisy Ridley leads the cast which also includes British veteran Clive Owen and live-action “One Piece” breakout Taz Skylar.
In the film, radical activists take over an energy company’s annual gala taking place within Western Europe’s tallest skyscraper – The Shard in London.
The group takes 300 hostages to expose the corruption of the hosts, but a zealous extremist within their ranks hijacks their plans – a person ready to murder everyone in the building to send the world a message.
Ridley plays Joey Locke; an ex-soldier turned window cleaner suspended 50 storeys up on the outside of the building who realises her brother is one of those who has been taken hostage.
She must find a way to save those trapped inside and take down the killers whilst also finding a way to bring the corrupt energy moguls to justice.
Flavia Watson, Ray Fearon, Rufus Jones, Richard Hope, and Lee Boardman also star. Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant produce the Simon Uttley-penned film which is set to premiere in theaters on February 21st.
