Hot on the heels of its Cannes premiere, Focus Features has released the official trailer for “Ms. Purple” director Justin Chon’s forthcoming drama feature “Blue Bayou” which opens September 17th.
Chon stars as Antonio LeBlanc, a Korean-born American raised in a small town in the Louisiana Bayou. He, is married to the love of his life Kathy (Alicia Vikander) and step-dad to their beloved daughter Jessie.
Struggling to make a better life for his family, he must confront the ghosts of his past when an unjust police arrest leads to him discovering that the government wants to deport him back to South Korea despite living in America since he was just 3 years old.
He has no choice but to legally fight the flawed system in order to be able to stay with his wife and daughter. Mark O’Brien, Linh Dan Pham, Vondie Curtis-Hall, Emory Cohen, and Sydney Kowalske co-star.
