The trailer has been released for “Detective Knight: Redemption,” the second chapter of the thriller trilogy that serves as a bittersweet swansong to Bruce Willis’ acting career following his retirement.
In the new film Knight (Willis) remains in custody after the first movie’s events. A riot erupts in the prison where he is being held, led by the vicious Christmas Bomber whose disciples terrorize the city on Christmas night.
With the cops occupied outside the prison, they need a man on the inside to squash the rebellion and promise the return of his badge in exchange for taking out the terrorists.
Edward Drake helms the film from a script based on a story by Corey Large. All three films in the trilogy were shot back-to-back. The third one, “Detective Knight: Independence,” will be released in July next year.
“Detective Knight: Redemption” will include Lochlyn Munro, Corey Large, Miranda Edwards, Beau Mirchoff, and Paul Johansson in supporting roles. It hits select theaters, on demand, and digital on December 9th followed by a disc release on January 17th.
