The first trailer has arrived for “The Bob’s Burgers Movie,” the anticipated film based on the beloved animated FOX sitcom.
The animated musical comedy-mystery-adventure is based on the long-running Emmy-winning series and begins when a ruptured water main creates an enormous sinkhole right in front of Bob’s Burgers, blocking the entrance indefinitely and ruining the Belchers’ plans for a successful summer.
While Bob and Linda struggle to keep the business afloat, the kids try to solve a mystery that could save their family’s restaurant. As the dangers mount, these underdogs help each other find hope and fight to get back behind the counter, where they belong.
The film was first announced back in 2017 for a 2020 release but has undergone multiple delays since. The main cast of the TV series all return including H. Jon Benjamin as Bob, John Roberts as Linda, Dan Mintz as Tina, Eugene Mirman as Gene, Kristen Schaal as Louise, and Larry Murphy as Teddy.
Kevin Kline, David Wain, and Zach Galifianakis will also appear as their respective characters in the film which is co-directed by Bouchard and Bernard Derriman. The movie opens in cinemas on May 27th.
