Trailer: Blumhouse’s Horror Comedy “Freaky”

“Happy Death Day” writer/director Christopher Landon has re-teamed with Blumhouse for the new black horror comedy “Freaky” which Universal Pictures has just set for a November 13th theatrical release.

The first trailer for the film has also launched and can be seen below. Kathryn Newton (“Blockers,” “Supernatural”) stars as Millie, a teenage girl who is attacked by the infamous killer The Butcher (Vince Vaughn) who wields a mystical dagger. This leads to the pair having woken up body-swapped – her mind is now in the body of a middle-aged maniac.

She has just 24 hours to get her body back before the switch becomes permanent and must find a solution as a city-wide manhunt closes in on the towering psychopath’s body whom she inhabits. Meanwhile The Butcher, in her body, plans to bring his carnage to her school’s homecoming.

She has just 24 hours to get her body back before the switch becomes permanent and she’s trapped in the form of a middle-aged maniac forever. The only problem is she now looks like a towering psychopath who’s the target of a city-wide manhunt while The Butcher looks like her and has brought his appetite for carnage to Homecoming

Landon co-wrote with Michael Kennedy while Jason Blum is producing.
