Trailer: “Batman: Death in the Family”

The first trailer is out for “Batman: Death in the Family,” a new interactive short film from Warner Bros. Animation that takes its cue from Netflix’s “Black Mirror” and “Kimmy Schmidt” films.

The film adapts the landmark 1988 “Batman: A Death in the Family” comics storyline in which fans voted by telephone to determine the story’s ending – one which saw the second Robin Jason Todd die at the hands of The Joker.

This new short will offer an interactive Blu-ray presentation allowing viewers many different ways to tell the story including numerous twists and turns along with several possible endings.

The project is directed and written by Brandon Vietti and “branches in new directions and features several characters previously unseen” as compared to 2010’s “Batman: Under the Red Hood” film.
