Elisabeth Debicki and Gemma Arterton star in Chanya Button’s lesbian romance tale “Vita & Virginia”.
Debicki plays celebrated English novelist Virginia Woolf and Arterton plays famously naughty socialite Vita Sackville-West in the 1920s-set film which centers on the passionate love affair between the playful author and the flamboyant socialite.
The relationship ultimately inspired Woolf to write her iconic novel “Orlando”. Button co-writes the film with Eileen Atkins on whose stage play the film is based. Evangelo Kioussis and Katie Holly produce the film which opens in cinemas August 23rd and then a week later on VOD.
