Apple TV+ has premiered the first trailer for “Ghosted,” its upcoming romantic action-comedy starring “Knives Out” and “The Gray Man” alums Chris Evans and Ana de Armas re-teaming for a third time.
Evans plays a ‘salt-of-the-earth’ guy named Cole who falls head over heels for enigmatic Sadie (de Armas). After she appears to ‘ghost’ him by not responding to any messages, he heads to London to find her.
There he makes the shocking discovery – she’s a secret agent working for the CIA. Before they can decide on a second date, Cole and Sadie are swept away on an international adventure to save the world.
“Rocketman” helmer Dexter Fletcher directs the project which is aiming for a fun 1980s “Romancing the Stone”-style tone with a script by “Deadpool” scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
Also starring in the film are Adrien Brody, Mike Moh, Tim Blake Nelson, Marwan Kenzari, Anna Deavere Smith, Lizze Broadway, Mustafa Shakir, Tiya Sircar, Amy Sedaris, and Tate Donovan.
Evans, Wernick,, Reese, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Julie Daly all produce the film for Apple Studios and Skydance Media.
The project is slated for release directly on Apple TV+ on April 21st.
