Netflix has premiered the trailer for its feature adaptation of Jennifer Mathieu’s novel “Moxie” which hits the service on March 3rd. Amy Poehler both directs and has a supporting role in the film.
Hadley Robinson plays Vivian, a shy 16-year-old who is forced, by the arrival of a new student (Alycia Pascual-Pena), to examine her peers’ unchecked behaviour that runs rampant at her high school.
Inspired by the rebellious past of her mother (Poehler), she anonymously publishes an underground zine to expose bias and wrongdoing and unexpectedly sparks a movement – forging friendships across the divide of cliques and clubs.
