Following the teaser trailer’s debut in July, the full trailer for Joseph Kosinski’s “Top Gun: Maverick” is set to arrive online on Monday.
Tom Cruise confirmed the news in a tweet which included the film’s new poster. The trailer meanwhile reportedly has a 2m 19sec runtime and will go online probably around the same time the poster did today – 9am US-EST.
The new film is set in a world of drone technology and fifth-generation fighters along with exploring the end of the era of dogfighting. Maverick (Cruise) is now a flight instructor, who takes Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick’s late partner Nick “Goose” Bradshaw, under his wing.
The film also stars Jon Hamm, Val Kilmer, Jennifer Connelly, Glen Powell and Ed Harris. Joseph Kosinski helms from a script by Peter Craig, Justin Marks and Eric Warren Singer. “Top Gun: Maverick” opens June 26th next year.
