Tony Revolori (“The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “Servant,” “Spider-Man: Far from Home”) is in negotiations for a lead role in the “Willow” TV series for the Disney+ service. Shooting will take place in Wales.
He would join Ellie Bamber, Cailee Spaeny, Erin Kellyman and the returning Warwick Davis in Lucasfilm’s follow-up to Ron Howard’s famed 1988 fantasy movie, this one focusing mostly on new characters in this enchanted realm as they set out on a mission to save a kidnapped prince.
Jonathan Kasdan wrote the pilot and serves as co-showrunner alongside Wendy Mericle. Kathleen Kennedy, and the original film’s director Ron Howard and writer Bob Dolman will also produce.
