The launch of the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” trailer the other day remains easily the most talked-about movie news of this week.

At the same time, the film’s star Tom Holland has been dubbed one of GQ’s Men of the Year and has spoken with the outlet about his future with the character – or rather lack of one.

The 25-year-old actor has starred as Peter Parker/Spider-Man across three solo “Spider-Man” films along with three other MCU titles (“Captain America: Civil War,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “Avengers: Endgame”). That’s a good run, but Holland seems to be considering moving on and tells the outlet:

“Maybe it is time for me to move on. Maybe what’s best for Spider-Man is that they do a Miles Morales film. I have to take Peter Parker into account as well, because he is an important part of my life. If I’m playing Spider-Man after I’m 30, I’ve done something wrong.”

Sony on the other hand aren’t keen to let him go with producer Amy Pascal saying:

“I’ve talked to him about doing, like, 100 more [of these films]. I’m never going to make Spider-Man movies without him. Are you kidding me?”

Holland adds he’s not decided what he’ll do in the near future, beyond his commitment to filming the Apple TV+ series “The Crowded Room”:

“I might start shooting ‘The Crowded Room’ and go, ‘You know what, this is what I’m going to do for the rest of my life,’ or I might do ‘Spider-Man’ 4, 5, and 6, finish when I’m 32, and never make another. I’m not sure what I want to do.”

His Spider-Man co-star Jacob Batalon says: “He talks about being James Bond a lot. A lot a lot.” The Holland-led “Spider-Man: No Way Home” opens in theaters nationwide on December 17th.
