“Outlander,” “Game of Thrones” and “The Crown” actor Tobias Menzies is reportedly being eyed to play a big role in Matt Reeves’ “The Batman Part II”.

PopFilm broke the news, indicating that Menzies is in the running to play Amadeus Arkham, the founder of the iconic Arkham Asylum – the institution that houses Gotham City’s criminally insane.

The first film teased a variation of this as Paul Dano’s The Riddler was placed in Arkham State Hospital after being caught by Batman.

Robert Pattinson will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the movie. Also back are Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon.

Barry Keoghan is expected to return as the Joker in some capacity. Production is slated to get underway at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London on New Year’s Day ahead of a release October 2027.

The original “The Batman” released in 2022 and made over $770 million at the box office.
