Netflix’s planned TV series spin-off of its “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” film trilogy has gotten the green light.
Titled “XO, Kitty,” the young adult series has scored a ten-episode order making it the first series spawned by a Netflix original feature.
Anna Cathcart will reprise her role as teen matchmaker Kitty Song Covey (sister of Lana Condor’s Lara) for the half-hour dramedy produced by Awesomeness and ACE Entertainment.
In the series, Kitty thinks she knows everything there is to know about love. But when she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend, she soon realises that relationships are a lot more complicated than she thought.
Jenny Han, who wrote the original ‘Boys’ books, created and co-wrote the spin-off’s pilot script with Siobhan Vivian. Han will serve as co-showrunner alongside Sascha Rothchild.
