TNT is developing a series adaptation of the John Grisham novel “The Whistler”. Fred Golan is writing the script with Grisham and David Gerner executive producing for eOne.
That book follows a female government investigator tipped off to a decades-old corruption in the South Florida judicial system.
TNT is also developing the series “Deathbed” based on the DC by Joshua Williamson and Riley Rossmo. The story follows a millennial freelancer is hired to ghostwrite the memoir of a dying adventurer.
What she assumed were dementia-affected fantastical stories at first turn out to be real when ghosts from his past drag her into a psychedelic, globe-hopping battle over who gets to write history.
Neil Reynolds is writing the script with Julie Plec executive producing for Warner Bros. Television.
Both projects are in the early stages.
