Netflix’s true-crime-esque seven-episode docuseries “Tiger King” has reportedly ranked as the most popular TV show of the last few weeks according to Rotten Tomatoes.
Boasting a 97% critics and 96% audience score, the series has beat the launches of the new seasons of “Ozark,” “The Sinner” and “Queen of the South” and according to Netflix’s own states is the No. 1 most-watched title in the United States.
Filmmaker Rick Kirkham’s series follows Joe Exotic, a mulleted gun-toting polygamist and proprietor of an Oklahoma roadside zoo.
Things turn dark after animal activist Carole Baskin, owner of a big cat sanctuary, tries to shut down the big-cat breeders, leading to Joe Exotic’s arrest in connection with murder-for-hire plot.
