Filmmaker Mike Flanagan has confirmed that the upcoming home video release of “Doctor Sleep,” his sequel to the iconic Stephen King horror classic “The Shining,” will include a decidedly longer director’s cut version.
Specifically the release will clock in with nearly 30 minutes of extra footage, pushing the film’s runtime to a full three hours. Flanagan himself announced the director’s cut which hits streaming on January 21st and both 4K and Blu-ray disc on February 4th.
In addition, there will be new, alternate, and extended scenes and multiple featurettes. You can check out a copy of the film’s cover art below.
