Three AMC Series To Resume Production

AMC

SAG-AFTRA has struck interim agreements with three AMC series which will allow all three shows to resume production.

The shows are the two upcoming “The Walking Dead” spin-off series “Daryl Dixon” and “The Ones Who Live” along with the second season of their “Interview with the Vampire” series.

The three shows are thought to be the highest-profile TV projects to date to land interim agreements during SAG-AFTRA’s strike against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers which is currently in its seventh week.

AMC Networks is not an AMPTP member but is ‘authorized’ by the alliance, and so abides by any contracts between the AMPTP and industry unions.

“Daryl Dixon” already filmed some of its second season in France in the spring and early summer before going on hiatus which will now end.

“Interview with the Vampire” will resume production in Prague after shutting down when the strike began.

“The Ones Who Live,” which sees the return of Rick Grimes (Lincoln) and Michonne (Gurira), finished filming before the strike but the agreement allows cast to do postproduction work like ADR.

The interim agreements, in this case, are only for those three productions and don’t include any other AMC series. All three series are slated to air in 2024.
