Emma Thompson, Lily James (“Baby Driver”) and Shazad Latif (“Star Trek: Discovery”) have been set as the lead cast in the cross-cultural rom-com “What’s Love Got To Do With It?” at Working Title Films and Studiocanal.
The story deals with love and marriage and is set between London and South Asia. The project is of note as it marks the return of acclaimed filmmaker Shekhar Kapur (“Elizabeth,” “The Four Feathers”) who hasn’t made a feature since 2007’s “Elizabeth: The Golden Age”.
Jemima Khan will pen and produce via her Instinct Productions banner with Nicky Kentish Barnes, Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan also producing. Shooting will start next month
