Warner Bros. Pictures has moved up the release date of its third installment in the “Harry Potter” spin-off franchise.
Now granted the official title of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore,” the new film will open globally on April 15th 2022 and sees the return of Jude Law as Dumbledore and Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander.
The film also sees Mads Mikkelsen taking over the role of central villain Gellert Grindelwald, replacing Johnny Depp.
In the new film, Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world
Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission.
They encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
David Yates directs the film which will be up against the Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum-led “The Lost City of D”.
