HBO Max has set next Monday, May 30th, as the digital launch date for “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” – the third entry in the “Harry Potter” prequel series.
The film will arrive on HBO Max and PVOD platforms like iTunes and Amazon on that date, 45 days after its April 15th theatrical release.
The film scored mixed reviews and has grossed over $388 million worldwide so far against a budget of $200 million – making it the lowest-grossing film in the entire Wizarding World broader franchise and only the sixth highest grosser this year.
Newly-installed Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav is reportedly meeting with those involved shortly to figure out where things go with this franchise according to a recent Wall Street Journal report.
