Netflix has announced that the third season of its big-budget fantasy series “The Witcher” is set to arrive Summer 2023 – around eighteen months after the second season arrived.
Robbie Amell, Meng’er Zhang, Hugh Skinner and Christelle Elwin will join the cast of the new season which continues the story of Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra).
In addition, the anticipated prequel spin-off series “The Witcher: Blood Origin” is set to get a release on Christmas Day (December 25th). It will tell a story lost to time, including the creation of the first prototype Witcher and the events that lead to the pivotal Conjunction of the Spheres, when the worlds of monsters, men and elves merged to become one. Official artwork for both shows has also been released and can be seen below. No word yet on the new anime feature or family-friendly version of the property currently in the works.
