Netflix has released the first official photo of Henry Cavill in the second season of their lavish fantasy series adaptation “The Witcher” which is still in production.
Cavill sports new armor in the photos, this time with some very sweet abdominal patterns carved into it. The entire outfit once again struggles to contain the British actor’s famed torso.
The shots also come as fan site Redanian Intelligence first reported, and Games Radar has since confirmed, that the Writer’s Guild of America West has already posted a directory reference for a third season of the show with Lauren Hissrich listed as executive producer and production dates of 2020-2021 for the season.
Said directory has yielded some leaks like this before. The coronavirus pandemic delayed production on the second season for several months but has resumed and the break time could easily have allowed the team to get some writing on the third season done and move forward with it relatively soon.
The second season of “The Witcher” is slated to debut sometime next year.
