“The Vampire Lestat” Extended Trailer, New Cast

AMC

Following its panel at New York Comic Con, AMC has released an extended three-minute ‘first look’ trailer for “The Vampire Lestat” ahead of the show’s return in 2026.

A follow-up to the highly acclaimed two-season adaptation of “Interview with the Vampire,” this adapts Anne Rice’s second book and shifts the focus to Sam Reid’s Lestat as he becomes a rock star.

Louis (Jacob Anderson), Armand (Assad Zaman), Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian) and others are all back for the new run, as is Delainey Hayles as Claudia for likely visions or flashbacks (she’s briefly glimpsed in the trailer).

Joining them are acting veteran Christopher Heyerdahl as Lestat’s mentor and Armand’s maker Marius de Romanus, while actor and playwright Damien Atkins will play Lestat’s late maker Magnus.

Newly announced is that Ugandan-British actress/playwright Sheila Atim (“The Woman King,” “Bruised”) has been cast in the key role of Akasha, the Queen of the Damned, who will play a major part in the subsequent season.

Also joining are Noah Reid (“Schitt’s Creek”) as Larry, Ryan Kattner (“Destroy All Neighbors”) as Salamander, Seamus Patterson (“Cabinet of Curiosities”) as Alex and Sarah Swire (“The Boys”) as TC.

Rollin Jones (“Perry Mason,” “Friday Night Lights,” “The Exorcist”) returns as showrunner on the new season.

The show’s second season in 2024 pulled in a staggering 100% from 76 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and an 89/100 on Metacritic, along with making multiple lists for being one of the most underrecognised great shows currently on the air.
