“The Night Agent” Season 4 Now Likely

Netflix

Though an official renewal order hasn’t been announced, a fourth season of Netflix’s action thriller series “The Night Agent” is now looking like a done deal.

Deadline reports that Sony Pictures Television has secured a $31.6 million (40%) California tax credit to relocate to Los Angeles for that show’s fourth season.

A writer’s room for the fourth season is currently up and running, but the greenlight hasn’t been handed out. This gives the streamer a whole lot of incentive to do just that.

The Shawn Ryan-created series shot its first season in Vancouver, and its second and third seasons in New York, with brief location shoots in Thailand and Turkey, respectively.

The fourth season will not only be shot but also set in Los Angeles, with Ryan believed to be the one behind the move.

The second season was shot February-July 2024 ahead of a January 2025 airing. The third season was filmed February-July 2025 and is expected to screen early next year.

The streamer is trying to keep up that annual release cadence, which suggests a renewal order will likely be announced so that filming on a fourth season can commence early next year.0

The series follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), a low-level FBI agent recruited in the secretive Night Action organisation.
