“The Mandalorian & Grogu” Wraps Filming

Lucasfilm

A new report at Puck News indicates that principal photography on Jon Favreau’s “The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie has wrapped.

Shooting on the project was originally slated to begin in June or July in California and would take 92 days – meaning the film has seemingly come in on time.

54 cast members, 3,500 background extras, and 500 crew members worked on the project which serves as the next chapter of “The Mandalorian” story.

The project was initially conceived as a fourth season until the strikes last year led to the season being retooled as this film. A new version of the Razor Crest ship will appear in the film.

So far the only announced cast members are Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, though plenty more are expected to be revealed soon.

Despite the fairly quick filming schedule, there’s now a long 19-month wait before the film hits cinemas on May 22nd 2026.
