We’ve had Keaton’s Batman insignia and Miller’s The Flash insignia, now filmmaker Andy Muschietti has teased the first look at Sasha Calle’s Supergirl insignia which will be seen in the upcoming “The Flash” movie currently in production in the UK.
The shot is again a close-up of the suit that will be worn, this one showing much more red in it than either Helen Slater’s 1980s costume or Melissa Benoist’s variations across The CW’s “Supergirl” series.
This will mark the characters first appearance in the DCEU and it’s not clear how large a role she will play in the plot. Calle (“The Young and the Restless”) beat out more than four hundred others who auditioned for the part and is the first Latina actress to play a live-action incarnation of Supergirl.
Christina Hodson wrote the screenplay for “The Flash” which arrives in cinemas on November 4th 2022.
