Marvel Studios has announced a November 5th premiere date on Disney+ for this past Summer’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”.
The title will hit the streamer 103 days after it opened in cinemas, where it grossed a decent $521.9 million at the worldwide box office off a $200 million budget.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, the film introduces Marvel’s First Family – Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) – as they face their most daunting challenge yet.
The SVOD debut comes about six weeks after the film had its PVOD debut on September 23rd and disc debut on October 14th.
Also stated is that the Disney+ release will see the film available in IMAX Enhanced with an expanded aspect ratio DTS:X powered IMAX enhanced sound for all Disney+ subscribers with compatible equipment.
The characters from the film are expected to return in “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars”.
