“The Expanse: A Telltale Series” Story Trailer

Telltale Games

A new story-driven trailer has been released for “The Expanse: A Telltale Series,” the upcoming game based on the critically acclaimed sci-fi series which wrapped its six-season run last year.

Based on the book series by James S. A. Corey, the show was set 200 years in the future where tensions rise between the privileged Earth, the militaristic Mars and the working class in the Asteroid Belt. Steven Strait, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Dominique Tipper, Cara Gee, Wes Chatham and Frankie Adams among others starred.

The Deck Nine Games-developed episodic narrative adventure game sees Gee reprising her role of Camina Drummer in a story set prior to the events of the series.

Here, Camina is on the hunt for treasures on the outskirts of the asteroid belt when a bloody mutiny breaks loose onboard the Artemis – a ship on which she’s XO. Your choices determine the fate of the ship and its crew.

Pre-orders for the game are now live with the title coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The first episode premieres on July 27th, with four additional episodes, each airing two weeks apart up until the final episode’s release in September.

The Expanse is based on the bestselling book series by Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (under the pen name James S. A. Corey). It is co-created and written by Academy Award nominees Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men). Fergus and Ostby are also executive producing alongside showrunner Naren Shankar (Almost Human, Grimm).
